Nightcore is not a genre. - Forums - Music

Why do people consider Nightcore a genre? I'm genuinely curious. I personally believe it's just a lazy way to distribute songs. That and it just reminds me of those Alvin and The Chipmunks remixes from, like, 2011. Can someone explain this to me? - Mar 14 2019

Well, "Nightcore is characterized by a sped-up melody (sometimes), fast rhythmic beat (usually), and ALWAYS higher than normal pitch. Almost all nightcore music are original songs nightcored (remixed into nightcore) by nightcore fans."..

So it makes sense to put it in it's own genre, thought technically it isn't an actual genre.

I went through a nightcore phase when I was 12/13/14. It helped widen my interest of songs, since songs from all different genres and artists where a nightcore. I now only listen to the originals. If it wasn't for "Nightcore", I'd never have found Hollywood Undead, Papa Roach, and Nomy. - Mar 14 2019

How are bronies creepy? It's a fandom. My little pony is pretty neat, I watch it with my little sister all the time. - Mar 15 2019
